Massey Ferguson Tractor & Silvan Sprayer To Maintain High Standard At Brisbane International Site
– Tennis Queensland have taken delivery of a new Silvan 300L slimline spray unit from KC Equipment. The Silvan sprayer, paired up with a previously supplied Massey Ferguson GC1705 compact tractor, will maintain the grounds at the beautifully presented Queensland Tennis Centre.
Situated in Tennyson, right on the Brisbane River, the Queensland Tennis Centre is a state-of-the-art tennis facility. Twenty-three courts are on the site, including the world-class Pat Rafter Arena – an impressive centre court stadium that can hold up to 7000 people.
The site also adjoins a range of high-end apartment living, and as events such as the Brisbane International grow in renown there is an expectation of excellence for the grounds and surrounding gardens. The high capacity Silvan spray unit, paired with the smooth Massey Ferguson, will ensure this high standard is met.
The Silvan can be used for a range of watering, fertilising and disease control activities, and has been fitted out for Tennis Queensland with a four metre cross-fold boom, fifteen metre hose reel, and an Arag Bravo 180 automatic rate control unit. This unit adjusts the sprayer’s rate of flow in accordance with machine speed, using a GPS sensor. This ensures even spray coverage independent of the operator’s driving. The Bravo also includes a control unit that provides easy operation of the spray unit’s functions from the driver’s seated position, including valve opening and flow adjustments.
The Massey Ferguson GC1705 compact tractor handles the weight of the 300L slimline tank with ease. It also features a 54” mid-mounted mulching mower deck, which provides a fine cut while eliminating discharge debris.
